Laser Therapy

Gentle, non-thermal laser light for pain and recovery. Backed by studies Dr. Gair helped run.

A new name

“Cold” is old

You may have heard it called cold laser. Today's lasers are better described as high energy, non-thermal lasers. They deliver real energy to the body without heating the skin.

Dr. Gair has used laser therapy with patients since 2004. He has also helped run the research behind it.

How it works

Light gives your cells energy

Plants turn light into energy. Your cells can use light too.

1

Light goes in

The laser sends a precise color of light into the area that hurts. You feel little or nothing.

2

Cells absorb it

The energy centers inside your cells absorb the light.

3

Your body responds

Research suggests cells use that energy to calm pain and support repair.

Why three colors

Wavelength, not wattage

A stronger laser is not a better laser. The color of the light decides how it works in the body. Dr. Gair uses three colors together.

Violet

A short wavelength used in Dr. Gair's research protocols.

Green

Studied with violet for neck and shoulder pain.

Red

The classic laser color, used alongside violet and green.

The research

Studies Dr. Gair helped run

72.7%

of patients with neuropathy pain had at least 30% relief by week 3, compared with 32.3% in the control group.

Study behind FDA clearance K251903. Dr. Gair was co-author and site investigator.
81.4%

of patients with neck and shoulder pain had at least 30% relief with green and violet laser light.

Study behind FDA clearance K221987. Dr. Gair was co-author.
2020

Dr. Gair co-authored a paper comparing red laser with common pain medicines.
